Avonlea

Last December, I had the pleasure of attending and photographing a joint baby shower for a couple of friends. At that time, there were so many unknowns about these wee little humans and who they would become. This week, one of those babies is turning 1-year-old. I'm not sure anything highlights the passage of time as starkly as a growing child (a phenomenon I am becoming intimately familiar with, as a pediatrician-in-training). Today, Avonlea is a beautiful child with a beautiful spirit. I was honored and delighted to celebrate Avonlea's birthday this weekend.
